About Me
Hmmm....what is there about me? I'm a college student about to graduate and go into the dark and scary place we call the real world. I currently live my my girlfriend in an apartment that she decorated beautifully. We take many of the same classes since we are both Chem majors and Premed, so we get to see each other a lot :D
I'm a percussionist as well. I've played all sorts of drums since I was a kid and I've tried to continue to find outlets in which to express myself percussively. So here in college I've played in the Orchestra, Marching Band, Wind Symphony, and some Chamber groups at least once or twice. One of my FAVORITE groups that I've played in, however, is our Percussion Ensemble. My awesome friend and I started this group and have gained a surprising amount of membership thus far. Here's our blog! Check out the video archive! (Ok, I'll stop with the shameless plug, hehe)
My girlfriend is wonderful! She is beautiful and so smart. She's also ultra fashion savvy and very creative. She's an artist in many forms, be it small crafts, costumes, or amazingly colorful self-portraits. I love her very much...but I'm very disorganized, so I cause her a lot of stress. I think I'm getting gradually better though, and hopefully me being able to cook a little better will also relieve some of her stress :D She's the ultimate reason I want to learn how to cook well, which is why she's also the judge of my rating system. If I can't please her tastebuds, then I fail at cooking as a whole (at least, that's my mindset right now).
There's not much else to say about me...I'm pretty shy and disorganized, but I feel pretty good writing this blog, especially if it helps out other people as clueless about life and cooking as I am. I'm really learning a lot about cooking from my girlfriend, from reading other cooking blogs, and from trial and error in the kitchen. It's a lot of fun so far, and I hope it takes me to the point where I can whip up any dish instantly with what little remains we may have in our kitchen!
Thanks everyone!
